Great day to visit the Dillard mill state historic site in central Missouri. The mill was a beautiful red against the bright blue sky and when we reached the mill we realized that it was closed on Tuesdays but a maintenance supervisor opened the door and gave us a quick tour. He even turned on the power and we were able to see all the pulleys work throughout the mill. Learned about "the miller's eighth." The mill was paid by all the farmers with 1/8 of grain or whatever they brought in that day.

Tried to find the hike but unsuccessful It looked like there was flood damage so it might have been destroyed. But, the waterfall was worth it.
