confluence at Defiance Park

Just outside Cairo, Illinois ,one of the strangest, almost abandoned towns I've ever been, is Fort Defiance state park. Also, seemingly abandoned is the place 2 major rivers meet. The Ohio and Mississippi. Fort Defiance also more known as the "point" by most in the area and is one of the largest confluences in the world. Apparently, it is also considered the tenth most amazing confluences in the world according to World Geography.
